Ccna ccent

Hi, are these two separate certifications or is the CCENT intrigrated into the CCNA?

    They are separate certifications. However, if you pass ICND1 to get the CCENT and want to upgrade to CCNA, you only need to take ICND2 instead of the full 640-802 CCNA exam. So in that sense, you could say CCENT is "integrated" into CCNA.

    They are two separate certs, however the CCNA covers the CCENT material. People who work towards there CCNA can take either a one exam option or a two exam option.

    First option (CCENT, CCNA) -- Study ICND1 material, pass ICND1 exam, get CCENT certification. Then study ICND2 material, pass ICND2 exam, get CCNA.

    Second option (CCNA) -- Study ICND1/ICND2 material, pass CCNA exam, get CCNA certification.

    Both routes cost the same and the two exam path allows you to learn roughly half of the full CCNA material for each exam, rather than all of it in one chunk.
