Got the free voucher from Dreamspark, so I'm gonna hit up the Server 08 AD exam late June.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for training material?

Anyone that's taken the exam feel inclined to offer any suggestions for studying tactics?

The ResKit will definitely help fill in any weak areas you identify during your preparations.

Since I took the uprade exam I don't know how much group policy is on the 640 exam, but the group policy books from Moskowitz would be a better choice than the 2008 Group Policy Resource Kit.

I am rather impressed with the 70-640 MS Press Training Kit thus far. It not only gives you comprehensive (some times too much) information relative to the topics but it is organized very well and the practice sections for actually using the software are wonderful.

You can download Virtual PC and install as many images as you would like and build your own AD Forest and practice items such as using the A.D. Users & Groups Snap-In, CSVDE, LDIFDE, Windows Power Shell, all of the DS commands etc. I would recommend that you utilize these tools because they really are quite good.

Finally, I've struggled a bit trying to figure out which practice exams to use but the reality is that Microsoft gives away the MeasureUP practice exams (50 questions) in all of their Training Kits for a reason. If you are looking for a vendor to utilize for your practice exams, this is the vendor that I would select. I used to use the Trancender exams exclusively but it is uncanny just how close the MeasureUp exams are to the real thing.
