Classful Vs Classless IP addressing

I am very confused about classfull and classless IP addressing, can any one explained to me.

I confuse as below:

If I have IP address
192.168.1.1 / 26 or
172.16.1.3 / 18

did this is classful or classless.

192.*.*.* addresses are Class C
172.*.*.* addresses are Class B

Class C addresses are /24
Class B addresses are /16

But your class C address above is /26 so it is classless
But your class B address aboive is /18 so it is classless
