Security certifications that are non-Cisco related

I'm interested in possibly getting into security, since it seems so interesting, and if I could supplement my CCNA, Network+, and Security+ with something non-Cisco, I might be interested. Problem is, I don't know what to go after. Something that goes beyond beginner level, but not something like a CISSP, which would take years for me to get. Obvously I want something in demand.

If somemone has any suggestions, I'd love to know.
