They are taking a while getting them all out. I got my confirmation email along with all the first groups of people.

Hey! Watch it! This Government Employee is one that actually gets things done on time!
Anyway, My friend got his a couple days after I got mine, so there is still hope. -

undomiel Member Posts: 2,818I did the test today. For CompTIA questions they were a lot better than my previous experiences, except for a couple questions that I made sure to comment on. There were still a few where they weren't clear with their subject i.e. hdd A or hdd B, but still over all they were pretty clear about what they were talking about and they covered a good portion of the material. Some questions probably could have been reworked to be less vendor specific too.Jumping on the IT blogging band wagon -- http://www.jefferyland.com/

undomiel Member Posts: 2,818That was something I was fully peeved about. The commenting time was combined with your exam time. Now I did have it all answered in 15 minutes but that still annoyed me. It put more pressure on me to answer the question and move on than to think about marking them to really review and analyze the question later on for commenting. I feel I could have done better in commenting, but I made sure to pick on the problem questions and give them something that was a bit thought out.Jumping on the IT blogging band wagon -- http://www.jefferyland.com/

TravR1 Member Posts: 332This will be my first beta test... it says my exam appointment is 1 hour 50 minutes. That should be plenty of time I think.

130 questions. I think that I ended up having 20 to 25 minutes left when I was done. I commented on several questions, but I didn't really keep track of how long I took to comment on each question. -

Yep, mine said June 15th also:CompTIA Email wrote:Thank you for responding to the FREE Server+ Beta offer from CompTIA.
Please respond to this email which confirms that you plan to take the Server+ Beta prior to June 15th, 2009.
In addition, please indicate, once again, your preferred TSP. Our records indicate that you have chosen Pearson Vue.
Upon receipt of your confirmation, we will send you the free voucher.
Thank you once again.
Still waiting on my voucher too. I responded to the original last week and I emailed her on Monday and didn't get a response from that email either.CERTS: VCDX #110 / VCAP-DCA #500 (v5 & 4) / VCAP-DCD #10(v5 & 4) / VCP 5 & 4 / EMCISA / MCSE 2003 / MCTS: Vista / CCNA / CCENT / Security+ / Network+ / Project+ / CIW Database Design Specialist, Professional, Associate -
apena7 Member Posts: 351I received my voucher today!
That's about a 3 day turn-around from the time I applied.
Did you remember to specify which testing center in your reply to Sharon? Prometric or VUE?
By the way, here's additional info from my voucher email:
Please note that to meet my beta objectives, the exam should be taken no later than Saturday May 30th. This voucher expires on June 30th. However, once 400 candidates have received vouchers and taken the exam, we will terminate this offer. If we note that you have not registered or taken the exam prior to us reaching the goal of 400 exams, we will advise.Usus magister est optimus -
Slowhand Mod Posts: 5,161 ModI just got a reply, saying I had to take it before May 30th. Sadly, Pearson Vue's gone off the deep end and it'll take 24 hours to add CompTIA to my profile so I can sign up for an exam.
Hopefully, I can actually sign up for the exam tomorrow. Vue is closer to my house than Prometric so I thought, "what the hell?" I guess that teaches me to be practical.

Jagged Member Posts: 67 ■■□□□□□□□□Just took the Beta (after passing Microsoft's 70-290 first this morning) and it seemed very easy to me for anyone with server experience under their belt.
Made a lot of comments on tweaks, but no major errors to complain about. I took Nortel betas in the past which were not error checked before being released to the beta testers. Those betas would have spelling and grammatical errors along with things like doubled up answers.
I did get one question that seemed outdated about SCSI (terminations on cable). It was nice to see newer technologies included.
Got in two joke comments to hopefully give the reviewers a laugh. One was on a question about what the next step is when the first troubleshooting failed. I commented "Go to lunch?".Microsoft: MCSE 4, MCSE 2003 +Security, MSCA 2003 Messaging, MCITP:SA -- Cisco: CCNA

Slowhand Mod Posts: 5,161 ModI just got my exam scheduled for May 29th, at noon-thirty. So that's a solid month of first going through various articles and disparate tutorials on Windows 7th for May 16, then another two weeks of rummaging through server hardware tutorials for this exam.

apena7 Member Posts: 351I was going to wait until May 29th as well, but I got nervous and scheduled for the 16th. I thought by then 400 people would have taken the exam, but then I thought, "why would they waste time handing out more than 400 vouchers?"
Oh well, I guess my score would only help to bring down the future passing gradeUsus magister est optimus -

Don't think so. jibbajabba Member Posts: 4,317 ■■■■■■■■□□Here some more clarification about the time frame:It is recommended that the exams be taken by the end of May. Since we need 400 people to take the exam and we haven't reached that number by the end of May, then we will extend the offer until June 15th, at the latest.
Please confirm if you will be able to take the exam within that timeframe, and I will send you the voucher.
Thanks for your question,
Sharon
So why she hasn't answered any questions regarding the voucher but the question about the time frame - who knowsMy own knowledge base made public: http://open902.com -
