Is there a way to find a file using the command prompt?
I am pretty sure there's a way but I do not know how. Please help.

kokopeli Member Posts: 18 ■□□□□□□□□□you could use dir /s <what you want to search for>
eg - dir /s *.txt would show all .txt files within that directory and all sub directories -

I have a large collection of music im sorting out and the search funtion through XP takes a long time, and I think the DOS search is quicker.Custom Builder
