CompTIA A+ 2009 Edition

Hey all, anyone heard anything about the new exam updates for the A+ 2009?

I'm ready to sit my A+ but unsure to either go ahead and sit the 2007 or wait for the 2009. I was thinking the 09 would be better from an employer's point of view.

Stick with the version you have studied for. Employers won't look for a particular version.

no release date has been announced for the 2009 exam yet - they only have draft objectives available for download, and that's it. They haven't even officially announced the draft objectives - they just kinda showed up on the objective download page a few weeks ago!

I also agree with WanBoy - most employers care that you're certified, not what version you got certified with. Some employers will want you to be updated to the latest version, but most don't really care.

do you think the 2007 comptia A+ version will still be available by mid-july?

I'm preparing for the comptia A+ 2007 right now.
