Windows Live Mail is eating my mails

Well .. deleted mails that is ..
I have setup an IMAP account in Windows Live Mail which works just fine. However, when I delete an email, it should go into the "Deleted Items" folder... the local one that is. At least this is what this setting suggests :
However, when I delete an email it just goes covertly .. I cannot find it anywhere, neither in the local folder not the online folder.
Anyone seen this before ?
