Having Problems Installing Software on Windows 7?

The .msi file may have a launch condition that does not include Windows 7. You can use ORCA to fix the msi so that it recognizes Windows 7.

I love using Orca to fix msi files. Useful for tweaking some installs to be truly silent.

I've used it a few times for similar types of things (i.e. some check causing the installation to fail). +1

I've had to use it for about every version of Shockwave I've ever deployed. Usually Appdeploy.com has all the information you need to for deployments.

Orca rocks, I've used it for the same kind of thing. Anyone who is responsible for software deployment will encounter a need at some point.
    IT guy since 12/00

Recent: 11/2019 - RHCSA (RHEL 7); 2/2019 - Updated VCP to 6.5 (just a few days before VMware discontinued the re-cert policy...)
    Working on: RHCE/Ansible
Future: Probably continued Red Hat Immersion, Possibly VCAP Design, or maybe a completely different path. Depends on job demands...
