Partner DC

Hey guys on a Windows 03 environment, if I promoted a DC as a partner DC, and decided to make it a DNS server as well, what steps do I need to take to accomplish this, my general question is I need to replicate all of the root DC DNS info into the partner DC DNS.

If you're using an Active Directory Integrated Zone it will replicate along with the normal AD replication.

So I just install DNS and select ADIZ when creating a zone, will that replicate the master DC DNS info into this partner DC DNS?

If the first DC has DNS and the zone on that server is AD integrated, all you have to do on the second DC is just install the DNS service. AD replication will take care of the rest.
    IT guy since 12/00

Recent: 11/2019 - RHCSA (RHEL 7); 2/2019 - Updated VCP to 6.5 (just a few days before VMware discontinued the re-cert policy...)
    Working on: RHCE/Ansible
Future: Probably continued Red Hat Immersion, Possibly VCAP Design, or maybe a completely different path. Depends on job demands...
