Passed C|EH!!!

in CHFI
Didn't do as well as I would have liked, but a pass is a pass!

Materials:

CBT Nuggets - Pretty much useless
CEH Prep Guide - Lots of detail and if read completely you will pass
ExamCram CEH - Pretty good for a refresher before exam
Official CEH Study Guide - Not a huge fan, glosses over things way too much
Boson's CEH Exam - Very helpful

As a side note for those thinking of taking the exam. If you can take the class do it as I believe that would be really helpful. Also, EC-Council has approved a home based course that will allow you to take the exam and is cheaper then any other course.

A lot of things are covered on the exam and one of my weaker areas was coding. Beyond that, use the above materials and you should be good to go!

    Going to party a little ;) then I'll start reviewing for the Server+ beta. Big focus will be on ICND2 and CCNA:Security. I am considering the CHFI eventually, but jury is out on that for now. Thanks everyone!

    v5....haven't heard much on version 6 and I don't believe there is a whole lot of material out there for it just yet.

    you are right about not enough material on v6 yet, I am yet to spot an official study guide for v6, it might actually be out but I haven't looked yet.

    Everything at *EC-Council | Education has been all CEHv6 for some time now. The study guide is CEH: Official Certified Ethical Hacker Review Guide: Exam 312-50. The CEHv5 exam will be discontinued after June 3rd.

    Got my certificate today! One thing that sucked was that the bumper sticker (at least that is what I am guessing it is) melded into the letter and took some of it off. Thankfully, it was only the congrats letter and not the cert itself. Certificate looks very nice and I might actually frame it....took just under a month to receive it.
