Yea, some of those were not clear at all. I'm standing by my answer for #26 though. I see what it was asking now, but my answer fits.
Was anyone else relieved when you got down to the port numbers? -

Yeah, you can't put double negatives in to questions like that. Whoever devised the test would probably be sacked by even CompTIA for being too vague. I don't even know what a riser is!Yes we can, yes we can... -

Test not that good, Question 27 what layer of OSI does encryption happen at, what kind of encryption? Software hardware? Symmetric, AES, DES.
Question 21, Peer to Peer Networks flexiable True or False; False was wrong. Flexible in what way, definietly not in multi-user per workstation scenario's and not for account managment.

I think I would argue with 26 also.

They do, hit back. Don't forget to copy the results before hitting back though... then you can sell your **** to others seeking this quality exam -

Not bragging but it wasn't too hard. Some of the questions are just worded poorly (mainly #26). First thing that comes to my mind when I hear P2P is kazaa, bittorrent, etc... -

heheheh..The first question I got wrong because I rushed in. Doh!
After that all cake except for one question which you could argue I actually got right based on my interpretation.
But that's just being greedy
All the 10Basex stuff I sailed through. Been a while since I had to worry about that stuff. Scary. -

Same issue with #26. Even in the olden days, P2P was something like two guys playing a game modem-to-modem. And the question made it sound like quite a few computers.
And come on now, you have an FTP question and use both port numbers and leave the question vague.

Maybe I'm just upset because I missed all the stupid 10baseX questions at the beginning
Honest question though, why is #1 attenuation? I figured that more hosts = less throughput, so the max hosts you want on the segment would depend on how fast you want them to go (among other things obviously, which weren't listed).
Also, am I retarded or does #5 seem weird? "protocol"? What protocol?? I never took the NET+
#13 got me also. I've been playing with fiber, a modern network, and the transceiver is not part of the NIC, so wtf?_______LAB________

JDMurray Admin Posts: 13,090 Admin77% for me too. I sure don't agree with a few of those correct answers:
- Windows 98 does qualify as a NOS (but is marketed as a desktop).
- The first networks transmitted data over telephone lines, not coax cables (define networks).
- There are only two WAN signaling methods.
- Sharing devices does not necessarily save money, and certainly not time (ever wait in a queue at a copier or printer with other, highly paid professionals?).
- P2P network are rarely implemented in confined spaces, unless you consider two machines connected via a crossover cable to be a P2P network (and technically they are).
- And why is port 21 more for FTP than port 20? Without port 20, port 21 would be pretty friggin' pointless!
