Don't worry, not asking for a key but does anyone has a retail copy of Server 2003 Standard for me which could be uploaded or is ready to be downloaded ??

Sitting here at a server which went poof and didn't realise it has a retail version installed so I cannot use our SPLA media (which is VLK)

I was about to tell you that you can get it from technet.

I wish technet had OEM copies too, though. icon_sad.gif

I don't know for sure if this works with Server 2003, but I've done it with XP. In i386\SETUPP.ini the PID is what controls the license type. So if you need a VLK and only have OEM you can change 69712OEM to 69712270 and it should then accept VLK keys.

Here's Microsoft's listing of PIDs: How to determine the channel that your copy of Windows Server 2003 was obtained through

Wow, that's really interesting. I hate getting stuck with the wrong media. Thanks!

Even better, when you add 270 at the end on a 2000 Media it doesn't even ask for a key :p:p

Well i NEED copies of OEM stuff more often. We (unfortunately and against my recommendation) use OEM licensing on almost everything.

Its hard to find the proper media for stuff. For instance, we got some servers in today that are keyed and installed with 64 bit and the discs they sent are 32 bit.

Hello! I am currently looking to an ISO of Server 2003 R2 OEM. Since I need it very urgent I hoped that I could download it somewhere. I see that Jordus had those media 3 years ago. Hopefully you can upload it somewhere..?
I don't need a key, only the media.
