Hey guys, I cant get my vista machine to join my domain. My addressing is static. Here's what I have, oh these are all VMs:

3 machines on virtual link so far (the devices are not an issue, so we can rule that out)

2003: dns server, on the domain:

10.10.10.10
255.255.255.0
10.10.10.1

everything working fine, can communicate with other server, ping external, etc

2003: second server, on the domain
10.10.10.12
255.255.255.0
10.10.10.1

everything working fine

Vista Machine:
IP: 10.10.10.14
mask: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 10.10.10.1
preferred dns: server 1(10.10.10.10)

Private network, sharing, etc
IPv6 disabled, tried with enabled didnt work either
firewall has been disabled
i can ping myself, nothing else
cant contact gateway, any other servers

am i making any stupid mistakes? any help is appreciated, thanks

I see you are using ESX. In the vm settings, did you choose the right vswitch ?

So you can ping 10.10.10.10 from the other 2003 Server (.12), but not the Vista machine? You might want to check your networking configuration in VMware if that's the case. That doesn't seem to be a Vista-specific problem.

Don't you know everytime there is a problem and Vista is involved, it's Vista's fault...
