Search Provider 'google' with a different location

I am in the UK and I use the google search provider. However, it uses google.com so most results are US based. Is there a way to actually change that or will I have to create a customer ones ?

Have you tried using http://www.google.co.uk/ instead? There's even an option on the Google UK home page to search only pages in the UK.

Im in the UK and even when i type in google.com it takes me to the UK site!

I meant using the search bar in the internet explorer... Typing google.com also takes me to google.co.uk but when you put something into the search bar in IE it uses the .com prefix regardles
