The book says about 2100, 2101, 2102.

2102 is normal startup.
2142 makes the router boot from flash without using NVRAM. It will start in setup-mode, so you can do certain stuff from there. This is what you wanna do if you need to recover your password.

Funny book you have there if it doesn't mention that.
