W2K Memberserver Question

W2K Memberserver Question
I will be installing a member server soon to replace a Unix box. The memberserver will be running in a domain within a forest.
Is there a need to give the new W2K member server a different name to that of the old Unix box or can it use the same name.
NOTE: The old unix box will not be on the network.
Any help appreciated.
