Hey guys, these forums seem a little short on people who have had experience of upgrading from MCSA (i can't find much reference to 70-648 anyhow through search anyhow other than the sticky on this forum).
Anyone started along this track yet? What materials you using? The MS Press book seems a dead cert as per usual with all previous MS exams i've taken, but finding it difficult to find something like the testout type interactive videos that specifically cater for this.
Slip in some reccomendations please people

Take a look at Transcender if you're looking for some practice Qs. You might also want to hit up material for the individual exams that the upgrade covers. You're right though; 648 is definitely one of the less popular exams. Sorry I can't give you a better answer. -

"google-fu" lol nice phrase for it! been a few months since i been here and don't remember the search being so bad i'd need to resort to that. Anyways, yeah there's the MS press 70-648/70-649 book which i'd already spied out and i'l give the site a good hi-yah with some google-fu. I'll give transcender a nosey too - thanks for that tip.
It seems the upgrade exams aren't as popularly catered for generally which is a shame, i'm sure we're a decent enough market to aim for. My ultimate goal is to get to the newer mcse type-status on server 2008, but i only got mcsa about 6 months ago and seems silly to continue down 2003 route these days - why play catch up when you can get ahead.squeaks squeak -
aquageek Member Posts: 152There is a Syngress book available also, which I'm currently using. I'm not terribly impressed with it right now but I don't have anything to compare it to.You are the systems administrator for a large enterprise that has decided to place computers in the lobby for access to public company information. On Tuesday morning Rooslan storms into your office screaming, "what the hell is this? In the last question I was the systems administrator. Now I am only a "Backup Operator"? This **** is crazy!"
