dynamik Banned Posts: 12,312 ■■■■■■■■■□Sorry guys, I'm going to have to bail on Wednesday. Work emergencies have ravaged my schedule. How does Monday at 7pm CST look? The last one did go about two hours, so it'll be better to start a bit earlier.

dynamik Banned Posts: 12,312 ■■■■■■■■■□I do not normally get home from work until aprox 8pm CST.
Well make an exception
Just kidding. 8's fine then. -

NetAdmin2436 Member Posts: 1,076Dynamik, you still doing DNS? As long as you don't actually count attendance, you can count me in
Sorry, I actually meant to be there last time but got my Saturday and Sunday mixed around.
What, don't blame me, it was the Friday night alcohol. It wasn't my fault!WIP: CCENT/CCNA (.....probably) -
dynamik Banned Posts: 12,312 ■■■■■■■■■□I completely understand how that goes; no worries
I want to do DNS eventually, but that's going to be a few weeks out. I think I had about 10 hours of prep into subnetting, so it's going to take awhile to get DNS in order -

Alrighty, so you gonna do subnetting again? I understand knowing something is completely different then trying to teach it, so no worries. I'll try really really hard to make it Tuesday!
.....jk, I know you said Monday.WIP: CCENT/CCNA (.....probably) -
Agent6376 Member Posts: 201I'll definitely be there for this on Monday. Great idea BTW, I wasn't expecting anything like this from any members.

Yea, it's all web-based. I'll post the details later that day. -
beef1218 Member Posts: 65 ■■□□□□□□□□Hi,
My name is Andy.
Thank you for your reply in my thread.
This looks a very nice training, and thank you for all your dedication.
I just started to prepare for CCENT 1 week ago, and booked the test on Jul 7.
I've gone through CBT Nuggets Videos once and am now watching Train Signal Videos and taking notes with it.
I haven't read any book and haven't touch any router/switch yet.
Is the training going to focus on CCENT or ICND2?
If it's the CCENT, I will definitely happy to join you.
I don't know if my level right now can fit in you guys or follow your pace, but I will try my best to learn as much as I can. -
dynamik Banned Posts: 12,312 ■■■■■■■■■□We're just going to be doing subnetting. You're more than welcome if you're interested.
-
beef1218 Member Posts: 65 ■■□□□□□□□□Great! I do feel I need more practice on subnetting.
Thank you! -
rsutton Member Posts: 1,029 ■■■■■□□□□□dynamik, will you be posting the connection info here? Also, I know this is the MCSA/MCSE thread but I hope you will be covering the common subnetting material for the CCNA too!
-
dynamik Banned Posts: 12,312 ■■■■■■■■■□Yea, I'll post the info here an hour or so before it begins. I haven't had a chance to set the meeting up yet.
Unfortunately, MS uses base-three math for subnetting, so it's totally different -
dynamik Banned Posts: 12,312 ■■■■■■■■■□Wow guys, I hate to do this, but I'm going to have to reschedule. This crappy DSL connection is only pulling about 300k with a lot of latency. I'm way out in the country at the moment, and the quality really varies. It was fine the last time I did this
I think I'm going to keep these on Saturdays and just go in to work until I get to my new place in August. Since next weekend is the Fourth, I guess we'll shoot for 7/11 (like the gas station). Again, I'm really sorry everyone. -

See ya on the 11th! -
petedude Member Posts: 1,510This has me curious . . . was there a session on 7/11? I'm gearing up for 291 studies, so the idea of a group review sounds interesting.Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there.

veritas_libertas Member Posts: 5,746 ■■■■■■■■■■I'm trying to get into training, and I'm looking for some guinea pigs. I haven't thought too much about the logistics yet; I'm just curious if there'd be any interest. It'd probably just be a couple of hours a week, maybe on a Friday or Saturday evening since I'm a loser (just kidding - that'll be negotiable). I'm thinking about going over 291/293 material, subnetting, etc. I'd be open to any suggestions as far as content goes, software to use to deliver the content, etc.
TIA.
I'm game on subnetting, I have read a lot on it and it still reallllllllllly confuses me.
