Passed ICND2 ... now, onward through the fog!

Just a quick word of thanks to those who have answered the questions of the initiates on this forum. I haven't posted much, but read often and it has been helpful.

I passed the 640-816 today with a 931. I finished with about ten minutes to spare. I blew a full 15 minutes on one sim question but I just couldn't let it go (too many years as a Field Service Engineer for DEC I guess ...).

I used the Cisco Press books and Chris's Train Signal Video Boot Camp series mainly, but also have been purchasing other books for reference that helped. I have a home lab with six routers, one of which pretends to be a Frame Relay Switch, and four switches.

Next up, I have the CCNA Security CBT from Train Signal that I started on this afternoon after the test. At nearly 60 years old I can't let too much time slip by ... icon_wink.gif

Thanks again, all!

CONGRATS on the pass. I'll be taking the 640-802 exam on Monday! Hopefully I'll be posting a "I Passed" thread then. Good luck in your future studies.

Great work on the pass - welcome to the CCNA club :)

And speaking form experience the CCNA Security is a lot of fun if you can get over the fact that it's SDM central icon_sad.gif

    Congrats!

I feel better doing this at 47 and know it can be done by someone almost sixty. Great Inspiration.

I tried that, but I kept hitting my poor old arthritic knees on the routers!
