Hey Guys,
Just wanted to share a little on what I learned during my condensed ICND2 Course. Provided by Nectar Network Knowledge in Australia...
A LOT of routing (OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, Static Routes)
The difference between Link State and Distance Vector routing protocols
A LOT of switching (VLANS especially)
a little VPN and a little IPv6
Access Control Lists (standard, extended)
a little frame relay (really needed this one!!! frame relay scares me...)
PPP encapsulation on a serial link (also PAP and CHAP authentication)
The training was great and the instructor Chris Welsh is amazing!
The course was on for a week and I loved every minute. Got a book from the course also, the ICND2 Wendell Odom book. It came with some video training, I will use this along with my Chris Bryant videos my dad got me, only wish I had some $$$ to get the CBT ones because I hear they are pretty good.
Oh well I guess thats it, giving myself till September to get the knowledge in and I sit the exam (ICND2 640-816) on the 7th of September. I will then be a CCNA!!!
Thanks guys for all the support and help, I am pretty hopeless at answering most of the questions on here, but I do my best if I think I know an answer. Just wanna give a little something back. Hope this helps somebofy out there, somehow...
Thanks,
David
