Passed CCNA:Security

Passed the CCNA:Security today with 933/1000.
My CCNA was due to expire in August.

The test wasn't as hard as I expected, definitely know the SDM inside out(where to look for info) luckily I spent my weekend going through the SDM config wizards and looking at the resulting setup.

I would recommend along with the SDM, know VPN, IPS and Zone Based Firewall.

I used Cisco Press, CBTs and GNS3 to prepare, work for a Cisco partner so have easy access to IOS’s

Time for a small break, a few beers and some xbox before cracking on with VCP and MCITP:EA :D
This week I have achieved unprecedented levels of unverifiable productivity

Working on
Learning Python and OSCP

What kind of limitations did you run into with GNS3 and the CCNA:Sec?

Shouldn't have any really....I have my linux server running gns3 with a cloud connection to my home network. I can access my lab via telnet/ssh/sdm that way works out nicely.

As shednik says very few issues, I ran it on the same computer and the only issue was once you have a few routers running GNS hits the CPU, I found running GNS and SDM on seperate processes worked well.

Yea I tried that didn't work well for larger labs...I think linux runs gns3 much better and since it's on a separate machine I don't take the CPU hit.
