Which module do I need to upgrade 1721 to 128Mb or RAM?
Cisco doc Installing and Upgrading Memory in Cisco 1700 Series Routers - Cisco Systems lists only 64Mb module for 1721, but mentions that 128Mb is the maximum.
Will 128Mb for 1760 work in 1721? Did anyone try?
Also one Ebay seller claims that memory for 17xx and 26yyXM routers is interchangeable. Is there any truth to this?
Thanks!

Don't know if the memory for 17xx and 26yyXM routers is interchangeable but you can get 128 MB for the 17xx: Check outCurrently studying:

$100+ is an overkill.
I was thinking more along the lines of this.
And this is actually the claim that 17xx and 26yyXM memory is interchangeable. -

tiersten Member Posts: 4,505I've used 2600XM memory in a 1720. No clue if the 1721 which is an updated 1720 is the same though.

What difference can it make by upgrading from 64M to 128M?
If we buy used router without a IOS upgrade contract, how can we upgrade IOS by ourselves? -
aminota Member Posts: 4 ■□□□□□□□□□I've figured it out.
First, 1721 comes with 64Mb of memory integrated with one empty memory slot that can take a 64Mb module. So, no need to by 128Mb module; one 64Mb module is enough.
Second, memory modules are indeed interchangeable between 2600XMs and 1700s. Tried it successfully.
