in CCNA & CCENT
Yeah so i bombed this freaking test as i expected. I definitely need more time on actual hands on or at least actually use my simulators. I was suprised the subnetting was actually not that hard imo. The overall test did not actually seem that hard I just needed to spend more on ch's 7-18 in icnd book 1. I crammed for about 5 days. The information that i studied when i took my time for a week I could easily recall but the info i crammed for was a no go. I would say you need 14 days to study for CCENT
my results are horrible....lol i got 100% on identitfy security threats .. but i swear there was only 1 question pertaining to that
my results.... 622... grade FAIL
Describe the operations of data networks............. .........................57%
Impement a small switched network...............................................62%

implement a small routed network..................................................31%

So where are you going to be flying off too? Or, to put it another way, how many hours of study time will you have on your flight?:mike: Cisco Certifications -- Collect the Entire Set! -

I'm glad you actually took a shot at it though (you're the guy who had an voucher and still thought about not going, right?) You mention the ICND book, that doesn't come with any practice exam at all, does it? If you're thinking about CCNA, get the study guide from Odom - execllent book and you get practice exams for ICND1 and 2. -

yeah im glad i took the test .... there was one question that had 4 parts i think it was a simlet.. and i accidentally pressed the continue or next button instead of answering the questions...that kinda irked me but it was early in the exam so i didnt let it shake me up... it was fun but i swear next time i take that test im gonna ace it...today only motivated me more.. but i feel like i have a burden off my shoulder i was rushing because im supposed to leave tommorrow.. if i would have studied the entire icnd 1 book and took my time and used simulators i would actually be pissed right now.. but i rushed.. so im not really upset about it. -

blucas Member Posts: 25 ■□□□□□□□□□Sorry about your fail, but I'm sure next time you will nail the exam.
With the amount of pressure for leaving, and the few time to study, i think wasn't a bad result just missing 222 points for a pass (22%) and with the 3 quest from simlet just missing around 15%.
So that means you are very close.

cerberos Member Posts: 168Sorry to hear, but u really gave it a short period... I can't judge why u gave it a very small time, however, this was an awesome score for this little period... My humble advise is to chew well, don't swallow and build a good foundation, I know u'll understand me in this... Let's hear soon that u nailed it... You are good to go

Bad Karma. Sorry to hear about the fail but it looks like you have tried to 'game' the test here. Trust me, even a CCIE candidate can fail any Cisco exam if he hasn't spent sufficient time with the syllabus. I tried out a CCNA test prep with a guy at work who's shooting for it the other day and the packet/circuit switching questions called on me to pull on theory I haven't looked over for six years. Take time out, do the reading. You will be fine next time.
Good luck. -

44% ? Not that hard hey. Give yourself some time and learn it, it's the knowledge that is important not a piece of paper that says your certified. -

This is true. For all the benefits, many Cisco certs do tend to test on factoids and minutia. In a sense rote learning. -

I noticed the hours you have in for your CCIE prep, I hate to admit it but that's probably how much time I have in for my CCNA prep and still haven't done ICND2 yet. It's more like a hobby now, I love firing up the lab at sundown. -

And the most important questions -- are you studying and doing labs so that you can use the COMEBACK2009 promotion code?:mike: Cisco Certifications -- Collect the Entire Set!
