is there anyway to simulate ISDN in a home lab without having an ISDN carrier?

You would have to get an ISDN Simulator.
Check out ebay, they have alot for sale, here is one for example

ouch, that would put a hole in my pocket. Using the 1600 wouldnt work?

Yup..and they are expensive...I wouldn't worry about this until you get into the CCNP.Kenny

true... configuring isdn have to use that isdn sim - its very expensive.
the More I know, that is more and More I dont know.
