A few router / NM question's

First, that's to all those the helped me figure out what switches to get! :)

That said, I'm now trying to figure out what router(s) to pick up. I plan to do a lot of my routing / labs with Dynamips, but it was recommended to pick up a few real routers. From what I can tell people seem to be fans of the 26xxXM and the 3640 !? icon_confused.gif: I'm looking for something that will last beyond the NA, maybe have some features that will help with voice down the road?! icon_exclaim.gif I have been on google, and Cisco's site doing a little reading, but I figure the combined years of hands on experience on these forums > my time reading random docs.

Right now I have a "3550 w/PWR" on it's way, and bids in *crosses fingers* on 2x2950 EI's for my switching. (Hope I picked winners?!? icon_wink.gif)

All that said, what router / NM's would you recommend? icon_confused.gif: Also, does anyone know of a good read (for someone very new to cisco) on the differnt NM's?

Again, thanks for your time! icon_thumright.gif

I found a good site that breaks down building an NA lab, so I'm thinking I'll be going with a few 3640's when I have a little more cash, and I'll use GNS3 for now. :)

    Thanks again! :)

How much was your 3550? Just curious, normally people don't get the PoE version for lab use.
    _______LAB________
    2x 2950
    2x 3550
    2x 2650XM
    2x 3640
    1x 2801

$245.00 - the non-power ones have been going for $200+ the last few weeks, so I figure pay the little extra for the power... sure.

Also, it turns out the 2500's I had were both 2520's - I figure I can get some use out of them.

2520's are good for frame realy switches. You can use the 26xxXM routers well into the CCNP as well, you don't really need the 3640.
