2. The Real MCTS/MCITP Exam 70-649 Prep Kit (Syngress)
The Real MCTS/MCITP Exam 70-649 Prep Kit: Independent and Complete Self-Paced Solutions: Amazon.co.uk: Piltzecker: Books
3. CBT Nuggets 70-649 - I found this very disappointing as many core subjects were not covered in enough depth.
4. Lab setup following all the MS Windows Server 2008 Step-by-Step Guides.

5. Technet
Spend about 4 months on this one as I really wanted to know it inside out.

How would you compare them?
My own experience is that the MS Press book is much better. It is coherent, well written and seems to have few mistakes.
The Syngress book, however, strikes me as being very poorly edited. The language is occasionally incomprehensible - not through jargon, but through appalling English. Sometimes entire chapters lack any coherent lab examples. Others have lab examples which just do not work.-- Dan -

I found the Syngress book very useful (as a door stop..)
I agree with you the MS book is far better. -

Shame, I've read some good Syngress books in the past but recent one seem to have gone down hill (rushed maybe).
