Anyone did a webcam site before ?

What software do you need for

1. The home PC (Win or Lin)
2. The Webserver

to have a live feed of a webcam updating every few seconds ?

    Wow dude, you must really be hard up for money...

    I set up a cheap web cam to monitor a long print job we had going overnight at my old job. A few people lived close and would make a trip in if there were any problems.

    I forget the software I used, but I just googled web cam software or something. You shouldn't need anything on the client PC. The software you get should allow you to specify whether you want to use Flash, Java, jpeg updating every 5 seconds, etc. Most have trials, so I'd just experiment a bit until you find something that works for you.

    Ah someone just wanted to watch my spider moulting in real time :D:D but the whole project went kaputt as the camera is crap ... looks horrible ... Ah well ...
