2514 SSH question

I have a 2514 that I have tried to set up SSH on with directions from another post in this forum. I just can't get it to work. I have IOS Version 12.1(26). Is it just not possible on this router? If I need to give more information just let me know. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I Dont believe it is supported. It needs the cyrpto set and the 2500 IOS does not support it.

If it's just for a lab, there's always telnet.

Ok, thanks for the replies. I figured it wasn't but wanted to make sure. Yes, I am using telnet but wanted to set up SSH for the experience.

You can always check the features of a IOS version using Cisco Feature Navigator

Comes in handy when buying equipment also!

The 2500s only support SSH Version 1
