I'm At This Crossroad Thingy

OK, I have a handful of certs that I've earned over the last 10 years. A little bit of this and that, I'm at a crossroad now, trying to decide which way to go. I'm not looking for people to necessarily tell me why I should follow the Cisco or MS path, but I'm looking for situations or questions that you all asked yourselves when you were at a similar crossroad. Any feedback would be helpful. I'm wasting too much time deciding. I may end up flipping a coin by the end of the week, and I don't really want to do that.

One question I ask myself is whether the combination of these things results in something desirable:

1.) Positions available now and in the future as my skills progress
2.) How much I would enjoy doing the work involved in those positions
3.) Level of studying/training involved
4.) Salary ceiling for contract/consult/employee work, whichever I plan to focus on
