I have to say, overall I am very impressed with the release thus far. Other than having to search out one mobo driver, everything else was loaded on the initial setup or the first visit to Windows Update.

Haven't gone too deep into anything yet, but I will certainly be checking it out and will share anything important........

Sweet, I hope they release the RDP 7 XP client this week as well with the 2008 R2 RTM. My branch offices are going to love the multiple monitor support. /span only gets you so far icon_lol.gif

Has anyone heard when we can expect the RSAT for 7 RTM? RC RSAT doesn't work!
    IT guy since 12/00

Recent: 11/2019 - RHCSA (RHEL 7); 2/2019 - Updated VCP to 6.5 (just a few days before VMware discontinued the re-cert policy...)
    Working on: RHCE/Ansible
Future: Probably continued Red Hat Immersion, Possibly VCAP Design, or maybe a completely different path. Depends on job demands...

Good to know, I just finished upgrading the other day and would be needing RSAT soon.

So I just grabbed a copy and don't have any available DVDs to write the ISO onto, what's a good visualization tool that I could use? Free or purchase.

I'll be messing around with the 32 and 64 bit versions. I may also play with Server 2008 in the near future.

    I fully recommend VirtualBox. VirtualBox

Works great for everything I need at least.

Cool, downloading it right now. I'll run windows 7 32 bit first and see how that goes. :3

Btw, I recommend going and seeing the movie Ponyo this weekend.

I'm using the RTM release and its pretty much like the RC except there aren't any missing help pages. Everything seems pretty stable and I've not noticed any issues so far. If you've got a machine capable of running W7 with good performance then I'd say upgrade when you get a chance.

Virtualbox runs it perfectly, it installed nearly all my drivers except for audio. My laptop is fairly new so I wouldn't have expected it to find my hardware. :D

May need to start over though, as I installed it to a virtual drive with only 8GB. I still have 2GB left, so it doesn't seem to take up much.

Increase the VHD size and then extended your volume. No need to reinstall!

And my movie schedule for this weekend involves The Time Traveler's Wife to keep the wife happy. :)

I'm leaning towards District 9 myself.

Wait... what were we talking about again?
