This is out of the scope of the CCNA so you'll probably have to wait until one of the Cisco gurus show up to answer anything related to this. You might have a little more feedback in the CCNP subforum.

Rip v2 uses multicast!

Grab the Cisco BSCI Lab Portfolio off of Amazon if you want some multicasting lab experience. Like they said, its a bit out of the scope of the CCNA, but you will have to know a bit about it to pass your BSCI exam. Good Luck.
