Guys/Girls:
I am looking for software that will help me document and track when I make changes or updates to servers. Anyone have any suggestions. I was looking for something that might allow me to add in the server then add comments about what changes were made along with date and time. Free and open source would be ideal.

Optionsrsutton Member Posts: 1,029 ■■■■■□□□□□If for personal use, any of the suggestions mentioned are good. I just log stuff in an Excel file. If you have to worry about SOX then you may want to be more **** and should really consider implementing a change control system.

OptionsJBrown Member Posts: 308setup for free ticketing system, such as osticket, open a ticket for yourself on the server and keep updating the Notes when ever their a change made on the server.
