    good luck!

I think “very senior” gets stuck in there because the last six yahoos that applied for the position couldn’t tell a packet from a Snickers bar.

Congrats on the interview and good luck with the rest of the process. I would recommend brushing up on some material that you may have forgotten or not used in a while.

One way or another that's a good sign. You'll either be able to celebrate tonight -- or get back to your study plan.

Since it sounds like a GREAT opportunity, I'm hoping you're forced to squeeze a Celebration drunken_smilie.gif into your study schedule tonight icon_thumright.gif

It sounds like a lot but once you get used to it, its not bad at all. Especially since you probably wont have to worry about them until something goes wrong.

If there´s one thing I´ve seen in this industry, it´s that the bigger the circuit the less it fails. Specially now with Ethernet over Copper out there, and fiber of course, they rarely fail...

Wonder if he got called...hope he did!

Survey says: Well they haven't contacted me yet so I am getting worried.

The recruiter said he should have an answer for me by the end of day yesterday but the hiring manager said I should know by the end of the week (he told me this during the interview). I a little concerned due to conflicting information. I am not going to contact them until I go back (wed.). I was out yesterday due to interview (about 40 miles travel for the interview) and I didn't feel like driving to my jobs training site (about 40 miles from my house) in the same day. Today I was out because my wifes grandfather died, but that is another story.

Hopefully I will get some kind of contact today or before I go to work in the morning.

All too true! Our fiber rarely has any issues (knock on wood). When it does it is usually something like a cut or hardware failure.

Still no word yet. I think I may email the recruiter sometime today. It is 12pm here, I may email him in about an hour or so just to see whats going on.

Edit: I did email the recruiter. Lets see what he says.

GOt a reply from the recruiter. He told me out of the 4 jobs avail, 2 have been filled. There are 3 people being considered for 2 jobs. I am one of those 3 people. THe final job interview is at 2pm today. He told me he should call me sometime today. I am very nervous because I really need this job (aka money). My wife and I could use some extra capital. I have been furiously reading the lamelle study guide and I plan to start cisco routers for the desperate and cisco: a beginners guide sometime today. I also order some db60 crossover cables so I can finally do frame relay and wan technologies at home.

Since my grandfather died yesterday, my job gave me the rest of the wek off. Looks like I will use it to study my butt off.

Well guys I got a call back today and...

    I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!

OH EM GEE I am so pumped. I start on the 28th and I think I will use this time to study my butt off. To give some perspective I will be getting paid more than double my current wage. I am thanking GOD because my family needs it. I am also worried because my current job has allowed me to slack off and now I am really going to have to step it up. I will have the offer letter Thursday. They gave me the condition that I must get the CCNA within 3 months of employment. I am going to do them 1 better. I am going to get the CCNA and the CCNA:S.

Anyone have any suggested reading material? I mean for the job not for the CCNA :)

    Thanks.

lol. My avatar is the picture which I hope one day will give me the meaning of life. Apparently if I stare at it long enough I will achieve Nirvana but for now it just makes me laugh.
