Should I finish ONT first?

My CCNA expires in December and I decided to take a CCNP-level exam to renew it. Is it a good idea to pass the [arguably] easiest exam, ONT, in 2 months and do BSCI/BCMSN at a slower pace later OR stress myself now to finish BSCI before December?

I'd have to say your chances are better at passing the ONT from scratch in two months than the BSCI though.
Good luck!An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made. -

I agree though, QoS can be pretty difficult. -

Might want to have a look at that or one of the other specialization exams as they renew the CCNA if I remember correctly. Would probably be easier than any of the NP exams. An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.

I'd agree and go with this route...then knock out ISCW right after since there is alot of overlap between the 2. -
1MeanAdmin Member Posts: 157Thanks for all the ideas. I considered ICND2, CCNA: S, V, W but since they won't bring me closer to CCNP, I'm leaning towards ONT. Time to hit the books again!

1MeanAdmin,
If your CCNA certificate expires then that will leave you further from the CCNP certificate. Also, the 640-816 ICND2 exam is US$125.00 compared to the 642-845 ONT exam which is US$150.00. -

I believe ISCW was much easier than ONT on the CCNP track.
