transceiver to host cable
jbwallace
Do you use a crossover or a straight through cable to connect your computer to a transceiver on the back of a 2501 router? I can get a link light and connect to my switch when using a straight through cable, but I cannot get anything when I try to connect one of my computers to the transceiver. If its not the cable, do you guys have any other ideas?

Thanks, I figured, but I couldn't find any good info on the transceiver, and I wasn't sure if using the transceiver changed the rules.

I guess every forum has those people that just can't help it. Sad!
I'm really trying to learn, and no, I don't know a lot of the stuff that you guys think of as common knowledge. I would appreciate if you would only reply to my threads if you are trying to help me. Thanks again to the guys that were being helpful.
