Error Message from Excel 2007

Boss is trying to run reports , and is getting a weird Excel error. It is Office 2007 btw:

[Microsoft][ODBC dBase Driver] External table is not in the expected format

I searched all over, and MS claims this error only existed in Excel 95/97 and was corrected in 2000.

Any help would be appreciated.

Does he have Oracle? His document may be working with an ODBC drive which cannot be found. Check control panel, administrative tools, odbc and see if you can find the ODBC drive listed. If you double click on it you may get an error about missing files. You should try and restore those files if possible. Perhaps he had a new version of oracle installed over an existing one?
