Writing Scripts?

Does anyone here know where I could get some info on writing and applying scripts? I really know nothing about them but my new job I am due to start at in a few weeks deals with them. I am just looking to get aquinted with how it works....

You could check over at Tech Tutorials . Not sure what they have for scripts, but there's a lot of resources there.
