What's the most exams you've sat for at once?

ZartanasaurusZartanasaurus Member Posts: 2,008 ■■■■■■■■■□
When I got my A+ about a decade ago I did both exams the same day. The nearest test center for me is 1hr 45 mins and I don't want to drive back and forth every time I want to take a test. Last time I did two MS tests together. They only take about an hour each for me to complete.

I was thinking of trying for three at once (2 MS 1 CompTIA) to save me an extra trip. I heard that 70-298 and 70-299 were pretty easy and I figure it should overlap well with Security+.

Thoughts?

Those three wouldn't be too bad. I did 298 and 299 the same day, and I did a pair of Exchange exams as well. Now my closest test center is about 75 minutes away, so I'm probably going to try to double-up on them from now on.

If you take the Security+, it will count inplace of the 70-299

At once! Can you do that? icon_lol.gif

OK, I know what you really mean. I haven't sat more than one per day, but if I lived that far from a testing center and felt that I was ready for more than one exam, then I would do it.

They are probably going for MCSE:Security, which would need both.

Two for me, when I took the A+.
    WIP: MCITP: EA
    70-620 - Done
    70-647 - In Progress
    70-649 - Soon.

I did both A+ exams in the same day, and then many years later I did the 294 & 298 in the same day. Then the 647 & 649 were done in the same day with 620 the day afterwords. I would have done all three in the same day if the testing center scheduling would have allowed it but unfortunately it did not. It isn't too scary doing two exams in the same day but you can feel a bit worn after.

Not all at "once" but i did the 680, 640, and Server+ beta all within about a 4 day period.

You can use the Security+ as an elective for the MCSE:Security, but it won't take the place of the 299, which is required for the security specialization.

I've taken two Cisco professional level composite exams. Does that count for anything?

I did both A+ together and both of either the Exchange 2003 or 299/298... can't remember which combo but one of them.
    IT guy since 12/00

Recent: 11/2019 - RHCSA (RHEL 7); 2/2019 - Updated VCP to 6.5 (just a few days before VMware discontinued the re-cert policy...)
    Working on: RHCE/Ansible
Future: Probably continued Red Hat Immersion, Possibly VCAP Design, or maybe a completely different path. Depends on job demands...

I took the A+ exams back to back, wasn't really all that difficult, since I studied for it like it was one exam.

Beyond that, I haven't taken more than one exam at a time, I'm pretty methodical in my preparation, and studying for two exams at once would screw with my mojo.

OTOH, I'm in the Atlanta burbs, so I have a plethora of testing centers that are relatively short drives, so it's not a major undertaking to go to the test center. I used to have one less than a mile away, but unfortunately, Prometric doesn't offer Cisco exams anymore, so blah

I took 3 MCSA 2000 exams in one day. I finished with a bad headache and mentally exhausted. There was overlap in the questions which helped.

I took both A+ exams on the same day.

I'm around Atlanta also. Plenty of testing centers.
