They are very well known in the military circle that i know. Some very elite guys in there group. Outside of that there cert isn't known at all. Alot of modern security fighting techniques has come from them putting out fires for different military orgs. -
Parth Member Posts: 38 ■■□□□□□□□□I went through their website. I am not sure how good the cert is. However please don't take that as a definitive opinion towards the cert. If you want to become a pen tester why don't you go for GPEN or GWAPT. I would trust GIAC more over these guys.
Their Prerequisites is :
A minimum of 12 months experience in networking technologies
Sound knowledge of TCP/IP
Computer hardware knowledge
Knowledge of Microsoft packages
Network+, Security+
Knowledge of Linux would be beneficial but not essential
With the looks of it i am not sure if it will be an advanced exam. CPTP looks more advanced than this one..
All the best. -

The only problem for most people is that SANS training is extremely cost prohibitive. What do these Mile 2 courses/certs cost?CCNP | CCIP | CCDP | CCNA, CCDA

$2700-$3000 approx. Not a huge difference unless it's coming out of your own pocket. But when you're geared towards gov personnel i suppose you can charge more. -

Yeah in that case for the money I'd take a SANS course hands down any day. As I said before, Mile 2 may be a respectable security vendor but I have never heard of them. If I'm going to blow over 3 grand on a cert I want a big name like SANS tied to it.CCNP | CCIP | CCDP | CCNA, CCDA
