Anyone else play Need for Speed Shift yet?

I picked this up for my wife last week before I went to Los Angeles and just got to play it last night. The game is really great! My only gripe is that I bought it for the PS3 instead of the 360 and you can't map the steering to the D Pad so I have to learn the thumb sticks. The cockpit first person perspective is really fresh, however if you take it out of that mode the handling of the cars is abysmal. It's also surprisingly sim-like for a NFS game. I wouldn't call it GT or Forza but its still better than your average NFS game's physics.

Anyone else check this game out yet?

+1 for your wife playing video games.

She only likes racing games and Worms, to be honest. She never played a video game before she got with me. She likes racing games because she likes racing real cars and the controls stay the same between most games. Her problem with most games is that the controls are always different and it takes a long time to figure them out. She's actually really damn good at most racing games - she races me pretty close usually, and is better @ NFS shift than I am because I've been using a D pad for a decade and have to learn thumb sticks. She's been using thumb sticks from the beginning.
