I just passed my 70-290 exam a couple hrs ago.
Score: 756/1000. a pass is a pass and I'm happy that I passed the 1st time.
Next up is the 70-294.

1 quick question though... Looking at yr status, you have done 270,290 and now doing 294 correct me if I am wrong. This is probably coz yr getting yr MCSA/MCSE. My question is, y nt the 291 first?
Ive been busy at work setting p an offsite DR center for our customers (I work at an ISP) and because of this I have *paused* my studying for the 290, but when I pass it im gonna do 291 next so just wondering.

Super99 Member Posts: 274The reason is because my instructor put me on this path. He said that certain exams will make the next exam easier to understand.
The path he put me on is:
1. 70-270
2. 70-290
3. 70-294
4. 70-293
5. 70-291
6. 70-297
7. 70-299/SYS-101 -

How do you compare the difficulty level of a CCNA in terms of MCSE?
I wanna get my CCNA but how difficult is it? -

Bro, You will Cream the CCNA! It is a difficult cert if you dont get much hands on with cisco devices. Luckily I work at an ISP and we ONLY use cisco stuff on our network, hence the fact that I passed my CCNA!
The best advice I can give you is, learn how to subnet and supernet for that alone is about 35%-40% of the exam!
Also, knock out your CCNA before you do your 70-291 if you can. Some people may disagree with me but I believe there is quite a little overlap believe it or not.

Lol I don't know what I am either. All I know is my employer wants an MCSE. They don't care if I have an MCP or MCSA and so my instructor put me on that path. Supposedly, the exam order will make the next exam easier to understand and pickup quicker. -

That makes sense! I get it now, since you put it that way. Cool, would you mind if I did the same? My employer wants an MCSE also but has no idea on how one achieves it all they know is they want one!
