New Job Again

I made a post a few months ago about having a new job. Well I got to work and it turned out to be a monitoring position. I talked to my manager about it and he said I had to wait 6 months to xfer. I put my resume out there to see what else was available in the DC area and I found another position thats paying me 20K more. Its another global network that I will be a administrator, not a engineer, but its still better than what I'm doing now and I get some experience with 6500 switches and some juniper routers. Hopefully this plays out better.

Monitoring? Does that mean if something goes wrong you call somebody else?

Yep and you can see that I have a few certs and I had 3 years of cisco and 4 years as a server admin prior 2. So I'm a little over qualified. But as I have been learning in the contracting in the world they want the seats filled since it makes money. This job convienced me to get hard on my studies and get my number so I can work for mysleficon_thumright.gif

I worked second shift at my old job for a couple of years doing log "monitoring and review". I got stupider and lazier I begged to go on first shift.
