Asa+ general security

Greetings All:

I was wondering what the best books are for the ASA specialist. I am curious to know what everyone thinks (specifically Ahriakin+ Mike in particular). I would also to know what some of you suggest for general security books as I am gearing up to go down the CCNA:S/CCSP path

My favorite is the "Hucaby Handbook" -- but I've got the Cisco ASA All-in-One Firewall, IPS, and VPN Adaptive Security Appliance book within arms reach also.

If you're just starting out learning about security you can start with the fundamentals -- Cisco Press Network Security Fundamentals.

The Complete Cisco VPN Configuration Guide is also nice to have laying around.

If you're looking for books for some of the CCSP exams -- wait until you've decided on the exam, check that the exam still exists and hasn't been retired or updated since you last looked, then mention it and we'll try to point you to the best and/or most current Cisco Press book (or Cisco Docs/White Papers) that could be useful before they change the CCSP exams again.

Security is definitely a moving target -- for both the exams and the real world.

I think I may go ahead and rent rack time. Piecing together a half decent CCNP lab is going to cost to much money. Plus the CCSP is like double/triple that.
