Call center job-accepted

I'm taking a Dell call center job for now while I'm progressing and trying to finish up my MS certs, so I was wondering if anyone have any idea or advice about a call center job. I was at the site, seems nice and I like the environment, so what should I expect?

I just started what sounds like the same or very similar job....so far im just in training but it seems like its going to be fun (at times) Training is great so far as we are learning anything from the different tools we can use while helping a customer to tearing apart the pc/laptops so we can be more familiar with them.....out of curiousity which Dell call center are u located at?

I'm in Fort Worth, TX but I'm taking the job in Oklahoma city. Please, don't tell me you're at the same location...hahaha, anyways, how's your training so far? give me an idea about the training process.

My position is currently going thru the government security clearance which I shouldn't have a problem with. Job starts in November and I've already got a place there in OK city. so I'm pretty set just waiting to start

Call centers can make you want to go crazy. But tough it out, and it can lead you to a better job. Work on you certs and move up or move on. Set a date (or range of time) for when you want to move up or move on and kill your certs/degree/whatever your doing and save your money until you get to that date.

Lol, naw im in Tampa. Like i said its kinda fun right now. Im technically working for a third party vendor that has a contract with Dell for the support. We are doing Pro Support for Dell (basically business pay a little more to get faster support time and what not) Even know i am only doing it part time, its paid full time training where we go over various tools that teach us about Dell's systems (mainly the ones we wil support for our cue), Dell's policies, Soft skills and customer service skills, we have several labs that we break down different systems to get a better understanding of them and our instructors will "break" them in a way that we will have to troubleshoot them so we can determine the issue for the customer. This is my first paid IT gig (I'm currently doing an IT internship also but its not really as hands on or knowledable as this) that i can hopefully use to get more experience and my foot in the door somewhere. I did notice u said u are getting govt. clearance, what is that for? Do u know what exactly you will be doing yet?
