Pass Network+ but barely

I passed the Network + this weekend. I underestimated the test cause I barely passed with a 646 icon_redface.gif At least I passed though. I'll use my A+ and N+ for an elective credit for my MCSA. Next is Windows 2000 server ( 70-215 ).

    First of all, congarts on passing the exam!
    Secondly, what do you need to score in order to pass? I thought it was 800, I see you passed with a 646. Just curious. icon_confused.gif:

    Dilwert - Congratulations on passing! You're following the same route as I am for the MCSA.

    FR29 - Dilwert just passed, as the minimum to pass the Network+ IS 646.

    Thank you for the info, kklentz. The reason I'm asking is; I have a Beachfront quizzer, and the min. score for passing their exam is 800. So, I guess they want you really prepared for it! :)

    a pass is a pass. i hope to book mine for this weekend and will be happy with 646

    yep, a pass is a pass. i passed mine last thurs. i used element k material and the meyers books. although i did a two week class prep and used their measure up and test out practice tests.

    I work with Win2k at work so it was alright. It wasn't as hard as I thought. I don't know what I scored cause Micorsoft doesn't post the grades. I felt good after I took the test. :D

    realas you work with win2k, was ris the only real work you had to do in your lab?

    i have win2k on a computer in my lab (i got it to help with a+ study), but don't actually use it. i occasionaly get my hands on a laptop at work which have win2k, and can find my way around doing what i need to do, but i do very little actual admin.

    I bought a PIII computer off of ebay just to use as a lab? I used it for Linux, win2KPro, Windows XP and now I going to practice Win2K Server on it.

    Congratulations! I'm glad that you passed your test. I'm working on taking my test on Friday, May 23, 2003. The only thing that I would do before moving on towards the next certification is to make sure that you are comfortable with your present knowledge of networking. This knowledge will assist in gaining other certifications and more importantly more knowledge and respect in the workforce (Which is very important!).

    I'm new here so I hope that you don't mind me throwing in my two cents worth.
