Going to work for a client

I used to work for an IT service provider. One of our clients wanted to hire me but I couldn't accept because of a non-compete agreement.
I left the company just over a year ago to take a job closer to home. The non-compete has expired. I left the MSP on good terms and have remained in contact with them to keep doors open.
As fate would have it, I may have offers from both the old client and the MSP I used to work for. I would really love to work for the old client, but I am not sure that is the ethical thing to do.
Looking for thoughts on the situation.

Now if you like the old client go for it. Depent of your relationship with your old MSP company I would comment them that I would go to work with that client.Stop RDP Brute Force Attack with our RDP Firewall : http://www.thehost1.com
