Resumes that landed the job

I just started a new job as a data engineer and really feel like I'm doing what I want to do. A friend of mine has a very similar work history as I do as well as similar certifications and education. But he is having trouble getting responses from his resume. I'm trying to get him a job where I work but I don't want his resume to mirror my own. I was hoping some of the network engineers here could post their resumes that landed them jobs so I can help him out and tweak my own for the future. Thanks a lot.

My LinkedIn profile is a slightly modified version of my resume and I get probably 3-4 calls per week.

Of course can I actually do the work they are calling me about? Only 25 percent of those calls. I tend to get 50 percent of the calls asking me for stuff I have not done in years like Citrix Metaframe. The other half I probably could do but I really do downplay myself a lot. It's not due to a lack of confidence its because I try and get a job I know I can do and during interviews I am brutally honest with them about what I can and what I cannot do.

Note the CISSP and MCSE; he probably has some solid experience to go along with that as well.

Naw Dice.com and Monster. 3-4 calls per week only started probably in August. I think its the fiscal periods for companies they start relaxing their budgets in Sept.

And like I said earlier I may get 3-4 calls per week but I can only maybe do the job they want 1 out of 4. I think its just key word hits and recruiters throwing their reels out hoping for a catch.
