Questions about CCVP path

Hello,
I just got my CCNP months ago. And I want to prepare my CCVP. I know VP requires CCNA VOICE and then I found CCNA VOICE = 640-460 IIUC OR 642-436 CVOICE. And I know 642-436 CVOICE is also one part of the CCVP.
Is 640-460 IIUC really necessary? Can I take 642-436 CVOICE as CCNA VOICE and also as part of CCVP?

That is , I just need to take

642-436 CVOICE
642-446 CIPT1 Implementing Cisco Unified Communications Manager Part 1 (CIPT1 v6.0)
642-642 QoS Quality of Service (QoS)
642-456 CIPT2 Implementing Cisco Unified Communications Manager Part 2 (CIPT2 v6.0)
642-426 TUC

to finish CCVP without taking 640-460 IIUC . Is that right

And I also want to know the differences between 642-444 CIPT 4.1 and 642-446 CIPT1 + 642-456 CIPT2. Can I use the books for 642-446 CIPT1 + 642-456 CIPT2 to prepare 642-444 CIPT ?

Thank you very much.

I find it annoying and confusing that Cisco can't seem to decide whether Marketing or the Technical side of the business should decide the certification tracks. icon_rolleyes.gif

If you're going to be working with small business and deploying the UC520 (or CallManager Express) then you should do the 640-460 and get the CCNA:Voice.

If you plan to work on Enterprise Voice Systems -- then it seems you can just skip the 640-460 and just use the CVOICE 6.0 to get the "CCNA:Voice".... whatever that means now. icon_rolleyes.gif

The CCVP track that includes CIPT 4.1 will reach end of life on December 31, 2009.

CIPT uses the old Cisco CallManager Version 4.1

CIPT1 & CIPT2 uses Cisco Unified Communications Manager Version 6.x

Thank you, mikej412. I really appeciate that.
It seems that it's possible to take 5 exams while having a CCNA to get the CCNP.

It can be done in “only” 5 tests but if you’re new to VoIP, you’ll be missing out on a lot of CME fundamentals.
    CCNP:Collaboration, CCNP:R&S, CCNA:S, CCNA:V, CCNA, CCENT
