640-802 Exam Tomorrow

Hey all...new to the forum, just wanting to get established here!

I got a B.S in Networking and recently took a CCNA Boot Camp from Global Knowledge. My test is tomorrow and I'm feeling pretty good about things. I work with Cisco products everyday and am not too worried about most of the content. I could use some alst minute advice on Frame Relay, EIGRP, and some WAN topics.

Also, has anyone else taken the Boot Camp through Global Knowledge, and if so, did you feel it prepared you well? I took it 3 weeks ago, and have been re-reading most of the course material a little bit each night.

Good luck, for the CCNA you need to have a good understanding of all the WAN technologies/routing protocols etc. You never know where the Cisco hammer will come from on ther exam's

Remember: The only correct answer is the Cisco answer

It's probably too late to learn anything new for the exam -- so just review your notes and create a "things I have trouble remembering list" that you can read over in the parking lot of your test center.

You will get scratch paper (or dry erase marker sheets) so use the time before the exam to jot down an emergency brain freeze subnetting chart & anything you can remember from your "things I have trouble remembering list." You have something 10-15 minutes each before the exam to read the NDA and do the Exam Tutorial/Demo -- so if you check those out tonight so you can use that time tomorrow to jot down notes before the exam or just get to the exam that much sooner.

Time Management is important on the exam. If you can't get a SIM in 10 minutes, odds are you probably never will -- so don't take time away from the "easy questions." You can always hold onto the hope that you got a bad "beta" ungraded question when you hit something really freaky. Plus you do get partial credit on SIMs (one of the few grading things Cisco has admitted) -- take your best shot and move on.

You'll get the number of questions on your exam and the time you have to answer them before you start the exam. Keep an eye on the clock (should be time remaining somewhere on the screen) and do some quick math -- before and during the exam -- to make sure you don't run out of time.

Make sure you read the question, all the answers, and then REREAD the question again. Then pick the correct answer.

If you just read the question once and scan the answers, you may pick the "right answer to the wrong question." Worst case if the answer doesn't jump out at you -- you can rule out an answer or two and increase your guessing odds.

Awesome, thanks for the replies! Just another question. A co-worker mentioned that you cannot go back to a question after you have answered it...is this true??

You can change your answer if you are still on the same question. As soon as you hit next its over, no going back.

Well...not so good....790. I felt good through the exam, just came across an area that I realized I didn't review well enough! The interactive questions were fine since I am hands on daily in my job, but in the end, the test won!

My first option to re-take is 12/3, so I need to prepare more! Would it violate the NDA to note the broad areas that I need work on, nothing specific of course. I'm just looking to get a few suggestions to find additional information!

Thanks for your input, looks like I'll have to wait a bit to buy my celebratory bottle of Johnny Walker Gold!
